GraceKennedy Financial Group to Host Financial Empowerment Fair in Portmore, St. Catherine KINGSTON, JAMAICA – July 3, 2025

The GraceKennedy Financial Group (GKFG) is excited to announce the second staging of the GKFG Financial Fair, a dynamic community event set to deliver financial empowerment, expert guidance, and family-friendly fun to the people of Portmore.

Scheduled for Saturday, July 5 at PP3 Plaza, the event will bring together GKFG’s full suite of financial services and key national agencies, creating a one-stop hub for practical advice, real-time transactions, and accessible government services.

Designed to promote financial literacy and inclusion, the Fair will feature offerings from GKFG’s banking, insurance, investment, and money services businesses like its first successful staging in 2024 at Emancipation Park, St. Andrew.

A standout highlight of this edition will be the GK Money Sense financial literacy programme, which will reward attendees who open a simplified First Global Bank (FGB) savings account on-site with a J$2,500 deposit. Opening an account is simple, just bring a valid photo ID and TRN.

“We are incredibly delighted to bring the GraceKennedy Financial Fair to Portmore,” said GKFG CEO, Grace Burnett.  “Our goal is to empower individuals and families with the knowledge and tools to achieve financial well-being and live gracefully. By bringing together our experts and national service providers, we’re creating a convenient and impactful experience that addresses a wide range of real-life needs.”

Featured Government and National Agency Partners:

Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA): On-site online adult passport application renewals for J$6,500.

Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE): General information on investing in shares and details on how to enter their exciting raffle to win a 2026 Beijing BAIC X55 SUV.

Jamaica Post: Showcasing Klick “N” Ship Express, Zip Mail, and Fast Track services. Patrons can register for a tax-free US shipping address and win giveaway items or spin to win prizes via an interactive electronic wheel of fortune.

Registrar General’s Department (RGD): Applications for birth, death, and marriage certificates and support for record updates.

National Health Fund (NHF): Vital health information provided in collaboration with the Diabetes Association of Jamaica and conducting blood pressure, cholesterol and haemoglobin tests on location.

In addition to financial services, the Fair promises a lively and engaging atmosphere with giveaways, games, and a live performance by dancehall favourite and GraceKennedy Ambassador Ding Dong, making it a day filled with empowerment and entertainment for the entire family.
